Kris´s TOYO/KONI drift car
I have been saving up a big load of parts over the vinter, & now i finally have started to adapt the car for the summers drifting days.

I decided to measure a bit more than i needed - & came to the conclusion that I could cut the strut´s the 40mm above the spring-plate.

& there for i could still use the stock (cut) springs if i wanted to for the yearly MOT.

I also found out that the Coilovers will fit the struts - which i first had measured that they would NOT fit.

i also sanded down the struts & took the entire strut/brake assembly apart in oredr to paint them...

Regards/
.............kristian

Kristian, why most aftermarket springs are shorter than stock ?
I can understand why they are stiffer, but why not use long springs even in shorter strut housing - if remove the lower perch and use longer coilover sleeve ? Maybe I miss something important here.

decided to cut of the spring-plate today.

& adapted the coils to fit the strut exactly.

I also bought some miniature bolts to lock the coils in place.

the coils now rest on the weld that held the spring-plate in place -

which sould be more than enough for the springpreassure.

I also sanded down & painted the front calipers.
