People i am looking for some info how much it will cost to convert levin to trueno and if it is possible to get the parts somewhere. My friend asked me for this favor.

Levin to Trueno conversion
It can cost up to 1000 (or more) euro's depending on where you buy stuff. Metal body parts are hard to find in europe, but you might be able to find everything you need in fibreglass parts. Bumpers and hoods are expensive, and shipping is even worse so the costs quickly add up.
I think there are still a couple of headlights for sale here in holland, so you could get those relatively cheap. Keep an eye on ebay, and have a look at what's for sale in the UK. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

I bet the popup conversion would be hard to do, getting it all to work etc. I know there is some tricky relay work going on with the silvia.

Levin to Trueno conversion
Not really difficult..and people on the forum that have done it before (like Ivan) would probably be more the willing to give you advice..
Shipping is murder though..total price= parts*1/3 shipping*2/3. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Levin to Trueno conversion
One of my friend had a 2dr Trueno, we simply exchanged the front parts. Hood, front fender, bumper, grill, and the lamps. Mine was a german spec car, and every bit of US spec trueno fit nicely. Even the wiring loom has the necessary connectors. Only the side lights connector need be corrected.

Are the parts called apron or inner fenders (the parts where the front shocks are screwed) the same?
What about the cross member, which connects the two inner fenders? Regards Andrej |

all you need is fenders, bumper, grill and pop-up headlights with their relays and main dashboard switch...
... and tons of courage to make the wiring conversion using the manual to see what goes where... AE86 FANATIC!!! |

You might be better of stripping the entire popup light control system out of another car. I dont know if the older honda's/mazda's with popup lights have nicely isolated headlight controls, but things can get pretty complicated on toyota's.

1000 euro is pretty much for us. I am starting to think that best idea is to buy some trueno from US. Too bad that english and japan cars have stearing on the other side. In Slovakia is it restricted to have it on right side
