Last weekend, me and a friend installed a EBC greenstuff pads in his civic Vti, and that pads had the same rubber sticker, but already sticked on them.

The ivan explaination seems very reliable.

Okay guys,

I just got some info back from our Mintex distributer. MDB1193 does indeed fit the Hachi caliper but wasn't designed for it specifically.
This is why a slight modification is needed.

They do have a front pad that fits exactly which is MDB1330 (together with the MDB1320 that we sell for the rear, those are the correct pad numbers for the Hachi Roku).

There is a catch here though. They do not stock up any MDB1330 or MDB1320's with 1144 friction material so they are fabricated on order. Besides having to wait a couple of weeks extra, this pushes the price up considerably.

Greetz,

I know its an old topic, but I wanted to share my experience with the mintex brakepads. I installed them together with new brake disks. In the beginning i thought where are my brakes!! After a few brake actions the discs cleaned up properly and they started to brake. Because of the fact that the surface of the pad was smaller than my originals i thought i wouldnt be better than i had, but some harder brake actions proved i was wrong.
Later i was driving 120 km/h on a quite road and the brakes were already heatend up. I braked as hard as possible and i was amased how good these pads handle! Best catch for low budget! Big Grin

You can trust these pads to stop your car very quickly.. and at a nice price too. Couldnt be bothered if they are considered old tech, they work great. I do have to admit that they tend to squeel a little after a while if your not using them hard.

I surely like them too! Even with ToyoR888 on track I never felt any fade Thumbs up! Now I just need more power to find their limits...

be prepared to change rotors as soon as you change brake pads, they both wear... DAMN FAST.

I've had this set for 1½ year. After two ringmeets and a few trackdays they are no way near worn yet, but then again I don't really got that much power Banging head

Me neither. Stock power as can be. 1 year of daily driving. I think they can hold more 5k kms or so. And i'm not the kind of guy that has his foot on the brakes all the time. I try to brake as less as possible.

I installed them together with new rotors but do the rotors wear faster with these brakepads compare to stock?
