My friend has had a lot of problems using Black diamond discs. He tried them with Mintex 1155, 1144 and TRD (or Project µ - I don't really remember )+ racing fluid and had fading with all. Meanwhile I used stock discs with 1144 and regular fluid with no problems. He changed to OEM discs and everything is now running great

Black Diamond and Mintex 1144 at the front.
Stock setup at the rear. Perfect setup. Just did 3 trackday sessions of 30 minutes each. No signs of fatigue whatsoever. Great stopping power aided by the R888 GG compound tyres. |

From a disc brand perspective I personally like Tarox but they don't have any for the OEM setup. AE86 ex-daily |

Long story about me and brakes... short version... if you are using your car on the roads...and it gets cold(zero or colder - Celsius) make sure the brakes work COLD. I was using TRD boxed Performance Friction Carbon-Metallic pads and they were directly responsible for an accident I had with a deer!
For a street car that occasionally sees lapping days, or HPDE (high performance driving event - usually 3 or 4... 30-45 min sessions) I recommend Project µ [u:a3fabdebbd]NS[/u:a3fabdebbd] pads. They work from stone cold and have great feel. Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! OST Porting service - http://hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991 |

I have 4 pot RX7 FC turbo calipers with slotted ATC 280*22 Mini Cooper S discs (redrilled to 114.3), Corolla E12 TS calipers at the back with Primera P11 257*10 discs at the back. Goodridge lines, and Supra MK3 Brake master cylinder (bnib). They work like a treat under a hachi, the Hungaroring is a brake killer circuit, and I just cant make them fade at all braking from ~170km/h to 60 in every lap and works like a dream

Just a quick note.
For street use. The Hondas EK9 calipers are direct bolt on. |
