OEM LSD Question
It should take a VERY LONG TIME to wear out those plates.
Did they pre-soak them & assemble it using plenty of lube on them? So what! |

OEM LSD Question
Yes looking at all plates that I have they seem more like t d ones than others. Must be due to being a JDM model.

The diff was never removed by the looks of it so ideally the diff should be as old as the car and the clutch plates the same. OEM LSD Question
From the casing it looks like a TRD unit.
My TRD differential is noisy when using SAE 90 oil. The pictures contained in the post below should help you to confirm, notice the rough surface of the casing on the TRD compared to the OEM diff. http://www.thaiscooter.com/forums/showth...7-cw_ldVKs An analogue brain in a digital World |

OEM LSD Question
TRD indeed, that changes the picture quite a bit.. that wouldnt break anywhere near as easy as an old OEM diff would, and it can make more noise.
BTW, I've never heard of factory fitted TRD LSD's...very much doubt it has been there from the factory. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
