On the intake side all I did was knock back the guides, and guide bosses, and made the bowls round to fit/follow the valve seats.... OH I also added a very gentle short side radius.... and opened up the bowls a bit as well.

Here we are with 4 chambers, 4 exhaust ports, and 3 intakes finished... it got a bit too hot today, so I'll finish on Monday.

Hi Dan

I wonder how my head flows compared to your numbers. My tuner says it flows 190 CFM @ 9mm lift and 20" of water...?

You have a 16V... so we are comparing 20V blacktop to your 16V?

9mm is .354"... my intake numbers are 197 @.350"(just short of 9mm...) but @ 28" of water...

190cfm @ 20" is quite high, although not directly correlate-able, the numbers @ 28" would be/should be around 266 @ 28".

My 16V work tends to get a tick over 200 cfm @ 9mm and 28"

When I see your numbers then I know there must be something wrong with my builders measurements. No way my 16v is flowing this much. Maybe it is with flowbenches as with dynoes - all you can really use is the delta.

can't speak to your guys bench... but just looking at my stuff, I'm at 186 @ .350" lift @ 25"... so instead of 20, maybe he measured @ 25???? 20" does seem an unusual # to measure from.......

Can it really be the true that a stock head flow less @ 9mm than 8mm?

highly unlikely, usually they just plateau i.e. no more useful gains. If you search google for flowbench and 4age you should come across a few other measurements incl. some from Orion (unfortuantely the original uploads aren't accessible anymore)
