Removing brake servo (booster)
What a job
AE86 right hand drive small port inlet manifold. Take lower dash panel off. Drop steering column and support bracket. 1ft long 1/4" extension bar to release "hidden" servo nut from inside. Remove pin and clip from brake pedal. Remove master cylinder. Servo will not come out of space with smallport inlet manifold fitted Release engine mount on inlet side. Jack engine on block of wood under sump. Careful to check all pipes etc. Remove clevis pin connection from servo. servo will now just come out through gap. Replacement servo fitted back in without removing clevis pin connection. Mine was made more complicated as I had also to remove a sumpguard. An analogue brain in a digital World |
