ok ...get that part but what has me stumped is....the intake part of the sc right side ...originally sat the throttle body....how would the piping work?
oem
air filter -2- throttle body -2- s/c -2- i/c -2- intake manifold.....right?

you have it
air filter -2- s/c -2- i/c -2- throttle body/manifold...? does it work the same?
that's interesting......i never seen it done like that....

do you still have the abv or can you completly eliminated?

Basically mine is like a turbo setup but with a supercharger instead.
I don't use the factory ABV but I do use an aftermarket blow off valve which vents pressure between gear shifts etc.. and it also acts as a bypass at idle or when the supercharger is not running to allow the motor to breathe. The BOV is controlled by the vaccum/pressure inside the intake manifold. The BOV is not so much used to stop compressor stall as you can't stall the supercharger rotors because they are driven off the motor its more to stop intercooler hoses blowing off when shifting between gears or when deaccelerating.

The factory setup is like you said: air filter, throttle body, s/c, i/c, intake manifold.

A bit more progress.... I gave up on trying to get a brand new window, ended up getting a good condition second hand one.

Since the last update I have had all the glass installed, had the wheel alignment done, installed a brake bias adjuster, installed the seats and harnesses. The starter motor also failed so I rebuilt that and completed a few hundred other jobs which I wont bore you with.

I drove it the other day to get its certification and it passed..... no problems what so ever, I was well happy with that Big Grin I just have to wait for my authority card to be sent to me and my certification plate to be made then its a matter of getting a WOF and Registration and then its road legal. Big Grin Thats just a small part of the process which has to be done to make this type of vehicle legal on New Zealand roads.

BUT as with most projects they are never really finished........they are forever ongoing. From the few times that I have driven the car it seems that I will need to change the clutch and flywheel, I am curently running a 4age 20v which is too light. There are still a few small jobs yet to be done but thats by the by, atleast its looks like a car now.

Nice example Rick,

Whats the comfort like in those racepro seats? They look like the wider base ones?

I'm thinking about getting a set of them from trademe but haven't sat in them before.

Cheers
Phil

Yeh the lip is all good, I ended up repainting it to suit my bumpers.

The seats are pritty good for comfort, however I havent spent that much time in them, time will tell. Yes they are the wider ones, Iam pritty slim and there was no way I could fit into the other type, you would need to test fit before buying any.

My car is now road legal.. yay ..

My car initially suffured from the dreaded 5500rpm power dip which I originally thought to have been caused by my light fly wheel, I have since changed the ECU to a spare one that I had and the few times that I have driven it since, it apears to have fixed the problem.

I thought this was all to easy and wanted to get to the bottom of the problem so I opened up the faulty ECU to find two of the seven capacitors were leaking. Iam in the middle of replacing them and when finished I will swap the ECU's over again to see if that was the cause.

I will also get the car dynoed soon to see how little power it has.

I still have to finish off a few small jobs but really its more or less finished, I have just lots and lots of testing, suspension tuning etc to be done plus later on I have a larger pulley for it..
