Yes it is a heat exchanger for a water-to-air intercooler setup up Tongue its from a subaru legacy, heat exchanger is aprox 350mmL 280mmH 35mmD.

In a normal subaru setup it looks like this

I was going to use a air to air intercooler as first, but I wanted to have intercooler pipes as short as possible, which is what you want with a supercharger with this setup there is only approx 300mm of pipe length.

It looks almost original as it sits there in the engine bay. Very compact and very nice indeed.

Very nice setup.. havent seen that one before (although I have seen water-to-air intercooled GZE hachi's before). Looks like something toyota could have come up with...nice clean and effective.
I thought the water-to-air was usually plumbed in to the main cooling system.

Do be carefull with mounting the intercooler rigidly, the engine pivots sideways a bit during acceleration, which could put your expensive air hoses under some stress.

A small update (see above). Working on fuel setup currenty aswell as mounting rear guards trying to work towards getting the car ready for paint at some stage.

Really clean work done mate!Just a question: why using a water to air intercooler?I know it performs better, but it weighs more than an air to air intercooler...I'm asking because what you build is a race car, and weight matters!
