S13 Front conversion help (S14/S15?)
Hi guys,
Well here is my situation, I have Volk TE37 17X8 +38 offset front wheels. I had a custom hub machined up thats 30mm wider in 5 stud. Im now looking at the brake setup and with that offset wheel, I think its best I move to a different strut thats more offset friendly. Im looking at the Nissan S13 front setup, and keen for anyone that's used these with track experience? I would love to use some of the existing parts (TRD adjustable shock, Tein camber plate, GC coilover kit all T3 strut). Will any of that work in the S13 strut? Any other catches in using the setup? I have all T3 adjustable arms. Cheers. |

Hi guys, need help, the front PCD I need is 5X114, and I am wondering if I can use the S14 or S15 suspension? I dont see many people using this only S13, wondering if thats to do with the PCD or other limitations?

Struts are pretty mich the same in S13,4&5 they mainly differ in the lower arm length which I guess you wont use and the S13 having a 4x114.3 PCD stock.
BTW you can use the S13 upright and fit the hub&bearing from the later models. This is all front related. AE86 ex-daily |

S13 Front conversion help (S14/S15?)
I have the S13 front conversion for quite a while (4 years) with numerous track days and I am very happy with it. It's 4x114.3 and I am using the stock S13 breaks which are more than enough for my horsepower 160hp 4AGZE).
I didn't see any reason so far to consider an S14/S15 conversion. There are a couple of important points though to make this a success: If you intend to lower the car significantly you definitely need an S13 roll center adjuster to correct the front geometry. I am using the Nagisa Auto one and I am very happy with it. You need to test and tune the S13 suspension for the light weight AE86. Most of them come tuned for the heavy front weight of S13. This means lighter springs and different valving of the shocks. Haven't experienced any bump steering or other issue so far but got my eyes open for it. The only drawback is the heavy steering wheel but I can leave with it.... If you need anything else let me know.
