Sump pan assistance
Hey guys need your help quickly.

We are putting a 4AGE into a Mk2 ford escort for a customer and the sump pan is fouling the crossmember.

We have had a look and wondered whether there is a Toyota model that uses the 4AGE engine that has the deep part of the sump pan closest to the flywheel rather than at the front as with the AE86.

Any help would be much apreciated

Thanks Thumbs up!

I'm afraid they will almost certainly all have the deep part of the sump on the front of the engine. This is pretty logical when you consider that they all have their oil pickup right under the oilpump. I can only tell you for sure that the RWD and FWD 4age's are like this. I suspect the MR2 4age's will be identical though. Maybe you can modify the sump, turn it around and lenghten the oil pickup tube by alot.
