Toyota rear caliper
Does anyone know of a way to identify genuine Toyota rear brake calipers ?
(The hand brake pivot on genuine Toyota calipers runs in a needle roller bearing and this bearing is not fitted to pattern part calipers) Is it as simple as Toyota ones say Toyota on them ?

Aftermarkets put a bronze bushing in the oem caliper.

Sorry Andrew I didn't really make the question very clear I should have asked if it is possible to tell the Toyota part from the outside without dismantling it ?

I wonder if that bearing could be retro fitted to a caliper with the bronze bush ?
The hand brake pivot rubber seal is also different on the repro calipers as it does not locate in the same way as the Toyota seal does and the Toyota seal will not fit into the recess on the repro caliper, not on my one anyway. An analogue brain in a digital World |
