Denmark Wrote:Oh ,64mm. This was the reason that I retired nice BMW 280mm discs - they had 74mm central bore and if I redrill them to 4X85 - they may break :-( |

Thank you very much,
Do you make the centerhole to fit exact or do you just rely on the bolts to center the disc? Regards, Skassa Any fool can go fast in a straight line. VEMS Blacktop 4AGTE20V 272hp/350nm """www.turbotoys.dk""" |

Denmark Wrote:Thank you very much, You can rely on bolts but I always use hubcentric parts. If you try to use for example brake discs with 66mm center bore, buy or make inserts 66-->64mm (often you can buy platic ones in rims/tires centre/store). You can use plastic inserts - no problem - they are neccessary only to center the disc while you tight the screws (in fact front hub design of AE86 is not so hubcentric sensitive). |

I think cheap brake discs with big mark like brembo or bradi for around 100$ for all 4 are fakes for sure. A lot of guys here are talking about it right now on forums. They are selling fake brembo brake discs in big car part markets here too
I think they are making the holes and slots to the classic blank rotors and than they are selling them cheap. One guy as i saw was talking on our forums that he ordered directly from brembo front discs and one costed him around 50 euro, classic blank. 85' AE86 GT coupe lifetime project since 2005 |

I have to do some work on my front suspension soon which means a bit of s strip down of the front end. I have the mazda FC 4pots on the front of mine and its a very cheap way to upgrade the braking power of your car.
I will think on and get the brackets that hold the calipers onto the struts measured up. That way it will be easy for people to make copies. Regards Ian. |
