So, broken windscreen.
Upon trying to remove the screen l discovered that the top moulding has been bonded on. Removing it meant that it cannot be re-fitted Struggling to find a replacement so the question is, can it be fitted after the new windscreen has been fitted. My thoughts are that it may be needed to align when the new screen is bonded in. An analogue brain in a digital World |

I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, when the clips are broken the bonding kit is a tempting solution to get the job done. Do you still have the original alignment clips as shown here in the repair manual?

There are some alignment brackets at the bottom of the screen, plastic with cork buffers.
I have nothing at the top of the screen. An analogue brain in a digital World |

From the video it looks like the clips are installed with the windscreen.
I'd like to get a screen fitted and wondered if anyone can confirm the above, do the clips need to be installed with the screen. Thanks for all the help by the way. An analogue brain in a digital World |

It's been a few years so unfortunately I'm not at all sure I remember right but I think the clips are installed first then the windscreen and last the molding mounts to the clips.
I think I remember I had an issue with one of the clips as the guy who installed the windscreen was too generous with the sealant around one of the clips so I had to clean it out again for the molding to sit properly. As said take this with a giant rock of salt as many years passed since that part of my restoration happened and my brain got old. AE86 ex-daily |

My urgency was to prepare the car for a rally at the end of the Month.
I have decided to err on the side of caution, cancel the entry, wait until the moulding arrives from Flo's and have the screen fitted then. The flo's part has just the three black clips, can anyone shed any light on the white clips? An analogue brain in a digital World |

The white clips should be part 75548-12060, which appear to be available normally. I have no idea what their purpose is. Looks like just another type of spacer, but you would expect the 2 bottom tabs to take care of that task. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

As usual, l'm over thinking it.
Reading the FSM (in order) it suggests removing any bonding before fitting the clips. Thank you to everyone for their input, l'll update when it's done. An analogue brain in a digital World |
