hi, my question is:

Sure. The engines are of the same family so there should be no major problems fitting the GE in there.
However, if performance is what you are after and you haven't bought the car yet, a celica with the 3S-GE would be preferred. Or why not the 4wd version with 3S-GTE? Using: -98 Camry 3.0 V6 Abusing : -85 Corolla 2.0 GTi |

thks for replys..
celica is my uncles car and he is making mods int his car.. e also talk to me about de 2.0 or 2.0 turbo of carlos sainz celica.. but in portugal, is very defficult to find this motors.. his mechanical talk to my uncle about 4age. i talk to his about the funtastic mods that can we make in 4age and the hps can we gain.. he ask me to find subjects about the swap of this two motors and it is what i have make.. thks [] sorry if the english is bad.. |

one more thing, the position of motor in those cars are different, in swap it isnt a problem?
it is need de 4age gearbox or can we continued with 4afe gearbox? thks.. |

From what I understand and have seen the motors in the Celicas are mounted at the different angle than the 4AGE. I'm not sure if the 4AGE can bolt straight in...but I dont see why not. You could prob run the 4AGEs stock gearbox....with a bit of mount making you should be sweet. I would after owning one prefer the 3SGE engine. That would be a straight bolt up adn they give good power if modded correctly.

The 4A-GE bolts directly to the gearbox of your celica, since you already have an A-series block.
The 3S-GE conversion is possible, but then you'd have to change the tranny as well, along with driveshafts, hubs and brakes. What I'm saying is that your uncle's celica is more of a corolla with a celica body, so stick with the corolla engine (FE or GE) and tranny and you will be fine.
