need help buying an AE86. is this worth $9000?

It is a very clean car and that would work out at about £5000 odd here. The only drawback is the mileage and make sure to check up on all the rust. If this was in the UK at the £5000 price tag I would probably jump at the chance but in the US i'm unsure i'm afraid.

What about waiting for another SR5 (hatch this time) and buy that one? Don't rush out there and buy any car, take your time and choose one which is in good shape and to your liking.

Chell, I wonder what it would cost to import that into the USA? I think shipping will be around 1000 dollars, atleast thats the last I heard what it cost to ship a DeLorean from the states to here Then offcourse come registration and all

I guess for less then 5000 dollars it should be on the road in the USA

Banpei, very true... but the idea itself is one that he may want to look at. There are a number of levin hatches around here that could be imported probably for a similar total price then buying a trueno hatch in USA

hachis in usa are not so expensive as in uk but more then in eu and its initialD boom there, also some guys with jdm lookin trueno hatch will make big money

it can have ae92 bottom end
lowering springs without camber plates
it has tvis also max 150hp i think
the aftermarket differential costs big money.
