Temp gage acting weird
OKay guys,
My temparature gage is acting up since yesterday. It just reads max from the moment I start the car but when I'm accelerating it suddenly reads the right temparature. My radiator is nicely filled up with fluids so that's not it... My guess would be that there's some air trapped and it's reading hot air and when I press the throttle fluids is washed against the sensor and its reading proper temp but I thought the system was designed to push out any trapped air? Any ideas? Might just be the sensor is broken but I'd assume it would work at all then.. OR a broken wire but then I'd assume it just read 0 or right temp, not max... check your wiring...maybe your engine ground wire needs tightening or something like that.

or clean up your tempsensor... it worked for about a year by my car
