supercharger restrictor
since i would use the oem ecu i would be screwed then
I dont know any person in belgium who could tune a 4AGZE+ecu and mapp+dyno would cost alot. so basicly im stuck again. After alot of posts topics and tips i wanted to make the 4AGZE with the idea in mind of the hks superchargerkit on the 4AGE.In stead of high boost low compression i would do a bit higher compression and keep the stock boost. The advantages would be that i dont need to meddle with pulleys and other things. And possibly i could easely transform the car back to na for certain events with not sweat. all that i have left now are 3 options =>dont touch it and keep everything stock =>pay 1300€ for a complex and verly long procedurewhich might not work. =>by miracle find someone who can tune this correct with the correct ecu id rather do 1 or 3 and preferable n3.So if you know know someone near belgium who can do this please let me know(and wont totally kill my wallet) |

I know a Guy in Denmark, that can modifie a stock Ecu, to run a 4AGZE Engine, ha has a lot of exsperiance in 4AG Engines, has his own Tuning company not far from where I live.... Could ask him, what he would charge, to modifie a stock Ecu, then you would just need to have done a Dyno test, to make it run 100% correct.
Don't know about the SC Restricter thing, will work on his mod... Restoring my AE86, all the way... Going JDM style http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/ae86/p/150463#150463 |

Doesn't a 4AGZE run a MAF? If it does it should run more or less decent. Little rich maybe, but nothing extreme.
You are also overthinking the restrictor. ANY restriction in the intake path will do. Smaller opening to the airfilter box, clogged airfilter, anything will do. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

@NoHachi
the ae101 is with map,here is a good table # AW11 MR-2 supercharger. Bigport AFM type, with distributor ignition # <5>5/89, AE93 Corolla Levin GT-Z. Smallport MAP sensor type, with DLI ignition # AE101 Corolla Levin GT-Z. Smallport MAP sensor type, with DLI ignition hm indeed your right,i could use some old rally restrictors in the intake or a restrictor plate on the supercharger. @Bean Bandit might be,but if the ecu+tuning costs 1500€ is it worth it? im gonna sent some mails and see where i go from there. @vaptor do you mean a stock 4AGE ecu? i wonder which ecu did hks use for there kit? |

As far as I am informed, the Stock Ecu can be modified to run a 4agze engine.

wideband lambda plus any manageable ECU. Shouldn't have too cost more then 500 euro. Just the right person to spent some time with it

@Vaptor
i will have a 4AGZE ecu,wouldnt it be the same then,or is he reflashing the unit? but i dont think it can cope with increased cr,etc? @robokill i have a kit which includes water temp/oil temp Wideband (AFR) Sensor Egt temp boost and oil pressure. ecu and loom ? tuning 500€? isnt the 4AGZE very hard to tune correctly with an aftermarket ecu? Do you know someone wo would tune the ecu? even if i dont do it now,would be very good info for next year maybe. over here every can do 4AGE with itb,... but 4AGZE are a mystery |

A stock 4age loom can easily be modified to run a 4agze engine. Its the wirring for the injectors, and some wiring for the electric clutch for the SC.
For 500 Euro's you can get and aftermarket Ecu like megasquirt and modified your loom, so if you only have plans for a stock 4agze engine you can modife a stock 4age ecu, and have the loom modifed. For a lot less then 500 Euro. The guy I know, is an expert in 4ag engines, and he has no problems with tuning a 4agze engine, or modife the stock ecu and loom, so that you can put it on yourself, and have another company do the tuning part. GZE is simple compared to ITB'd engines.
A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
