And a couple more questions Smile

*im a bit in a struggle deciding what i want from brakes for the front,2 options

257mm grooved discs+s13 calipers +ferodo 2500/3000 pads
263 mm grooved disc+rx7 calipers+? pads

(i am concerned about the brake balance, and overdoing it with the brakes)

which one would you chose?

*the seat
im still hitting my head against the cage with everything i tried ...
tried lower seat rails with my sprinter sparco seats
tried home made rails on the lowest possible point using the standard holes for the seats
....

now im not sure what to do anymore
put them on the floor and buy better seats that are flat?
cut the floor(what about structual parts?),last resort dont want to do this
what did you do?

like this

or
this

will it mess with structure of the chassis?

Have you thought about getting that RX7 Caliber with Mini Cooper S 276mm Disk conversion bracket. Its exelent, breaking power, and it lines up perfectly. Thumbs up!

y but there are a couple reasons why i dont wanna do that Smile
*im not a big fan of redrilling discs
*278mm is to big.

i want a setup were i dont have to redrill discs Smile

the seats are giving me a headache, since i have shorter legs even if i put the seats at the structure point,i wont be fully able to reach the pedals.
So my only option withouth killing the chassis is moving the pedals.
Is anyone familiar with the pedalboxes from rally?

also finally found some plug courds for the 4AGZE
Levin 4AGZE, KV85 - Magnecor Ignition Lead Kit (4 Lead Set)
is any familiar with this brand?

You only have to re-drill the existing holes in the the disks, so it will take a 12mm bolt, its very easy to do that Smile

What I ment. was that you only have to redrill the existing holes in the disk, to a bigger diamenter. Its very easy, and everything lines up perfectly.
The thing that you are planning is a lot more difficult, if you don't get the bracket 100% lined up with the disk and the caliber, it won't brake as good as you had hoped.

I have some suggestions:

Your current thinking about brake setups will change with real power/grip/speed.

For example, I have a stock powered MX5 using stock brakes with Yellowstuff pads. My braking decelleration G's are on par with MX5 cup cars, so she stops nicely on track. No pad fade, no problems whatsoever. I've been on this set of pads for maybe 15 trackdays and 2 years of daily driving. Pads still have life left and discs are OK.

My friends drive MX5 turbo's at approx 250bhp@wheels. They are now in the 1m:52s at Zolder. They can now disintegrate a set of pads and discs in a single day at zolder or other heavy braking circuit. So now other things become important, mostly:
How long do my pads and discs last?
How much does it cost to replace them?

Going custom discs can be a problem on that front, going AP calipers too. If you size the whole thing large enough you should be able to get the discs to last. Going two piece with aluminium hats will shave some weight and save money when you only have to change friction discs. Check beforehand how much real pads will costs and take that into account. Things like Carbone Lorraine.

Which rim size will you be running? 14s or 13s? Be prepared to take a beating on disc replacement if you go 13 and get fast :-)

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

266-280 mm front ish and 257 mm in the back.
15 inch wheels braid rallyversion

Can you explain what you mean with custom discs and ap calipers on the front can be a problem, too good ?
wont last long?

with custom i mean i can say i want 270mm discs who are 22mm thick

pads ferodo ds2500 probably.

advantage for me is i can do discs and pads/2 because we drive with 2.

@Vaptor really?
so mini cooper s is also 4*114,3 same hub diameter 67,1 i think
and you just need to make the four bolts big bigger?
