sensor atachment?
I´m going to fit my defi gauges soon, but I still need the sensor attachments.

Unfortunatly I cant´t be in my garage until then. That´s why I need your help.Smile I´ve searched, but somehow noone asked before?

What´s the inner diameter of the radiator hose?

I was thinking about ditching the OEM sensor and fit the defi with adapter.
Defis run with 1/8PT, but whats the thread in my block?
I´ve read Toyota pressure senders have 1/8 BSP? is that true?

Anyones knows where to get this adapter?

Thanks Smile

Thanks for the answer.
Already ordered the right adapter for it.

Anyone knows the thread of Toyota oil pressure sensors?

1/8th NPT is for the oil pressure sensor i think, but don't quote me im not 100% sure, same as the water sensor.

Steve.....this is sparrrrrtan

I´ve read that Toyota pressure sensors come with 1/8 BSP a few times, that´s why I ordered an adaptor to see if its true. Smile

Next question, I also got a defi tacho with my gauges, so I need a rpm signal. I was going to connect it to the wire going from the ignitor to the tacho?
Or should I use either IGN or IGF?

Can anybody help? Dumb question

Things got pretty difficult!

The defi pressure sensor seems to be a 1/8BSPT and therefore bolts straight to the block!

But this is not confirmed, yet.

Anyone got a clue for the tacho wiring?

Look up the DEFI manual for that tacho to find out what type of signal it needs.
Coil(-) usually does the trick, but if it's not built to handle that, you are likely to blow up the electronics.

It turned out to be a rare defi oil pressure sender with 1/8" BSP and bolt perfectly to the block. No adaptors required!

But for the tacho wiring, they recomend the tacometer signal and I think that the one of the wires comming from the ignitor (yellow from memory).

I´ll try that and hope is doesn´t get fu**** Smile

Actually the Japanese standard PT (Pipe Taper) is the same to BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper)
http://mdmetric.com/tech/thddat7.htm#pt

So yes the sensor can be bolt straight up to the block Smile

Usually the most recurrent problem is when you want to fit defi sensor in sandwich plate (most have 1/8 NPT thread)
or
any 1/8 NPT sensor in Japanese plate (like Grex)

There we go, couldn´t find any info on a japanese standard PT.Banging head

All the other defi senders are 1/8"NPT, only the oil press senders were also avaliable in BSPT.
I just assumed the´re all NPT, thats why I struggeled an bought adaptors, that are now totally useless... Confused

The Greddy adaptor plate that came with my gauges has a BSPT port, but I´m not sure if its genuine.
