depending on your model (wire colours) one of these will help http://www.turboninjas.com/supra/stereodiagram.gif or here http://opc.mr2oc.com/online_parts_catalo...laRWD3.pdf (it's on page 5) - are you planing to sell the tape deck?

If the wires are still uncut, please buy a proper plug to convert the Toyota plug to ISO. It'll cost around a tenner and it saves you a LOT of hassle.
The amount of times i had to rectify previous owners' bodgery on radio harness .... All that shit for just a simple plug you can buy at most local motor factors. "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

I bought two plug ends and made myself a nice adapter, using parts like these (probably not the best prices, but you get the idea): Toyota Female Plugs and ISO Male Plugs. If you want to ditch your radio, I'd be pretty interested in it. Right now I'm just rocking a 90s Toyota radio, but getting an era proper Toyota radio would be awesome. On the other hand, the 90s radio has Dolby B for tapes... |

What motor factors is this then? I've been around all the motor factors and non of them stock a wiring harness adaptor. |

I don't know, but my local one still has them on the wall
![]() It's a little independant one, maybe that why they still have them? It's either this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Starlet...xyu1BTlX8Q or this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HQ-Iso-car-cab...2249879042 And i think it's the 2nd you need. as i think the AE86 has the old style plug, but it could be the new one as well, as it's right in the changeover period ![]() "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

In the past they weren't available for mine. And I found out that the Toyota connector is the same as old Mitsubishi connectors but it has a slightly different pinout, so a Mitsubishi to ISO connector should work fine after a few mods. It is the one similar to this one:
https://www.acb.no/Details.asp?ProductID=346 And this is the pinout for the older Mitsubishi plug: (search for "Mitsubishi II" on this page) http://www.tehnomagazin.com/Auto-radio-c...nector.htm 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: ![]() |
