Oohh.. not sure, I'd have to test that out on the road. I think around 90 or something...

2nd gear
Are you sure? Looking at the gearboxratio's it seemed like 2nd-4th gear are close-ratio. The final gear is 4.3 right? That's pretty low...I'm surprised 2->3 is like a 45km/h difference. Seems a bit too much for a 124hp engine.

2nd gear
I think it's more like 85 km/h in 2nd gear. The gearbox is insanely close-ratio on an ae86. It really tires me on freeway driving since it makes quite some noise at a constant 4000 rpm (despite the oem exhaust).
It has it's advantages for sporty driving, but is a bit tiring at cruising speeds. My perception of this might also be influenced by engine performance a bit since my idle is to high and the low-end torque is not what is used to be on my old engine. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

2nd gear
Aico, you got nearly 8000rpm to play with. There is roughly 500 rpm between gears. This box been designed to have a choice of multiple gears for each speed and have power available

2nd gear
My Hachi goes 198 km/h at 7200 rpm, tested with a GPS-tracker. Allthough the odometer shows nearly 220, it will not go more than 198 (with 3 gyus in the car)
