More 4ac problems
They seem to be never ending. I finally got the timing belt back on, and everything in place, tried to do the timing, and my hachi still runs like absolute junk. I KNOW it had more power before I replaced the timing belt. The distributor is all the way against the firewall, and I still can't get it factory timing (5 btdc) it will go to tdc, but thats it. Could my distributor be a tooth off? or could my timing belt be a tooth off? any help guys? Banging head Banging head Banging head Banging head Banging head Banging head Banging head

More 4ac problems
I just re-checked my timing and valve clearances on my 4ac yesterday. if you have a 4ac, the factory timing should be set at 10 degrees BTDC. If it's at 5 degrees BTDC, it should run like crap. Also, make sure you set your idle speed to 800 rpms + or - 50 rpms before you adjust the timing.

another thing i noticed, there seems to be 2 timing marks on my belt, but there should be only one mark that'll line up with the markings near the crank pully (i.e. 20 15 10 5 0 5) when adjusting with the timing light.

For the first the answer is NO, but for the second question the answer is , Yes it could.
You have to make sure that the marks on the cam gears are totally looking to each other.
And there is a mark on the Block too, which must be looking to that on the pulley.
But, what is exactly the problem?
The engine is just sort o power, or it is working rough too?
