Uzelac you shouldn't need a MAP with carbs. rely on simple vacuum and mechanical fuel delivery (as opposed to an EFI setup on ITB's).

MAP measure manifold pressure so between throttle butterflys and intake, not in airbox. If you put the MAP line to the airbox, the ECU would think you were full load all the time airbox is atmospheric pressure.

MAP is quite responsive, better than airflow meters (even tho these are very good these days) problem with MAP on ITB's is that if you go off one throttle you have a very weak erratic pressure pulse.

Aside. Also with aftermarket management ECU you could use alpha-n (which is more responsive), if you are alpha-n tuning you are mapping throttle position TPS vs RPM.
