Hmmmmmmm, I have a different concern then NoHachi.
The pinion gear uses a crush collar to maintain pressure on the pinion bearing. The crush collar can and does fail when high torque loads are run through the ring and pinion. The "fix", or repair for this is called a solid pinion spacer. This is a collar that is NOT crushable, but it is made to an exacting spec and shim able. This soild pinion spacer will allow you to add a preload to the pinion bearing, while not using a crushable collar Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! OST Porting service - http://hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991 |
