86 Corolla SR5 engine upgrade

What my dad wants to do to this car is exterior work. He bought lowering springs for the AE86, and it looking forward to buying the body kit for it...i see this car as a car to drive just for fun. and i need more horsepower uner the hood. the screwy 4A-C engine doesnt give enough ponies. iim in 5th and im about 4000 RPM going like 75mph. too high reving for that speed, my volvo does 90mph at 4,000rpm. I dont exaclty want to convert to a GT-S, i have a manual that a member linked me SR% t GTS conversion, looks very helpful. not sure if Im going to end up doing it. but if somehow ge the chance to buy thi sGT-S from the guy down my street I would ditch the SR5 project. but if i find one in the junkyard, i iwill go nuts. I was thinking of a 4A-GE 20v instead of the 16v engine if i do mod this car... I was just thi8nking, but i know you guys are gonna tell me all the things i would have to do.. but thanks for all your tips.

just remembered with the lowering kit that should arrive any day now, i also got new strut bars for the rear. that should do a whole lot of good!

damn it, the spark plugs need to be changed too, damn thi car needs a good tune up!!! iand theres some areas of rust that need to be fixed. when thats ll done this car shouldl look all shinny agani.
