Oil type depends on if it is LSD or not. Any big name brand
can supply you with both.

As said above... pump oil in thru the upper plug until it starts
running back out... thats the correct level. Hard core drifters
like to add an extra half a litre by jacking up one side and
letting the oil run down the axle tube. Supposed to help keep
oil in the gears during long difts in one direction Cool
