What Diff Oil For a Clutch plate diff?
what oil should i use in my clutch plate trd 2way , its macking a clacking noise when turning , diff is 100percent, what oil could reduce this noise?
comma 80w/90 castrol b373 ? any advice welcome thanks |

I run Motul 90PA with no problems on my TRD, Castrol SAF-XJ works also well with clutch lsd´s.
Castrol b373 does sound right, too  Do you know which oil is in your diff right now? 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |

I run Castrol SAF-XJ for three years now, no problem.
Any 75W140 for limited slip should do. |

on Driftworks some guys recommend this oil for clutch-plate diffs
it's for Racing differentials Redline Lightweight shockprove http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=43&pcid=8 there's also a friction modifier you could try adding to your current oil |

Castrol SAF-XJ or Redline Lightweight shockproof (reduce the noise significantly)
But if you have a really noisy "clack" you should rebuild it. I don't know what you do with your car, but when you're drifting it's recommended to rebuild your LSD every year or so. |

Is this a brand new diff? You need to do the break-in figure 8's if so, which will quiet down the chatter quite a bit.
