4ac crank on 4age!

Hello guys! I've recently bougth an imported SR5 2 door USDM with an 4ac inside!
It's not bad at all but... An 4age it's quite different! :-) and with an 3.91 crown wheel... Almost sleep when press the gas pedal !
I've an 4age bigport head and pistons with conrods and i'm thinking to get all this in a 4ac block AND CRANK!!!
I saw many foruns telling that it will break, beacause it's weaker, badly balanced and casted, and i wan't to know if it true or it trashy drunk speech!
Should put inside 'as is' or at least get it balanced?

hello budy what u heaert it perfect rigth 4ac crack its weaker than 4age so i thnik its work out not for u at all so better and rigth to do is get 4age complete swap and u power and sure
dont think about it
or more better is find 4agze with map 3 gen 174ps from levin jdm import

Most of all it is a bad investment of time and money to build such an engine.
But by all means go ahead and build it and beat the hell out of it and prove the
naysayers wrong (or right..).

Thank you guys! Rigth now a friend of mine gave me a 4age crank and a matched flywheel! I will problably make an ashtray or sime sort of weird sculture with it!

We had some guys here in Hungary who tried the 4ac crank in 16v engines. I only know 1 guy personally but this engine is working since 2years without problems! Mostly daily car, but were on some drift events aswell! I'm sure its weaker, but it works..

Same with 4AFE cranks, they work in 4AGE engines, yes they only got 6 flywheelbolts, but apart from that dont look any different.

A friend tell me that the 4ac crank works better with turbo rev at 6500 than 4age stock at 7500! The probem it's the rev's not the power!

Same here, friend had an 4AC crank in his AE86, beat the hell out of him for years without problem.
He even had drilled aditional holes in flywheel to accomodate 4bolt setup (2 extra holes) and that run that way! No problems
