82 sr5 tranny on 85 sr5 engine
someone i know has an 1982 sr5 with standard tranny now im wondering if that tranny will bolt up to my 85 sr5 engine ? ive tried searching around a bit but no luck... anyway apparently the 82 is a 1.8 liter ? oh and my cars an auto im trying to do the conversion
any help on this would be awsome ill continue searching too 85' AE86 |

Rob, the box might be the correct type, but I dont know if the auto bellhousing will fit, the 1.8 one certainly wont. The main difference between he t series gearboxes are in the tailpieces, these are different for older cars (70's), dont know about the 82 though.

There are 2 types T-boxes - the difference is the count of splines.
