Again: LSD oil
Sorry to have another topic but the search function creates confussion:
Some recommended oils I can not find, and other proposed oils are not for LSD according to the manufacturer... So, Which oil should go in the OE LSD diff? Anyone has any trick to release the drain plug. Mine is extremely thight. I tried already until I looked like this --> Thanks for the advice |

if i'm right i got kroon oil 75W80 LS
think you're good when you get a transmission oil wich is good for LSD tranny's so make sure you got special LSD oil from a good brand.. about the bolt: maybe put a pipe on you're wrench so you have more power to lose the bolt. '87 levin coupé |

I would also like to ask a question in this specific topic since I am a ultra-noob.
I have one canister of KAAZ oil for the diff... is 1 can more then enough to swap the old oil? And how do you do it? how do you know you are not screwing it up? I have never touched anything like this on a car so help is always welcome. Greetz -DWG- Drift Wolf Gaming |

i'm using Castrol Hypoy LS 90 which is recommended by Castrol for our cars differential
and for the plug, even if you have a 5m long pipe it will not open. you need a high amount of torque in a fraction of a second to open seized screws best thing you can do is, using an impact wrench |

If the drain plug is tight expect the fill plug to be the same.
Ensure you can undo the fill plug before you drain the oil out !! An analogue brain in a digital World |

make sure you use oil with lsd supplement
Does your fillerplug open? If not it will be hard to fill up ;-) so first loosen that one. The heating trick is to get is expand and when it cools down again it breaks up the rust in the grooves. You can also accomplisch that by hitting it a couple of times very hard with a big hammer. But since it is the bolt in your oil filled diff I don`t think it is rusted inside actually... You just need more power in your arm or extend the wrench. To prefent the car from falling on top of you it might be a better idea to put the car on the ground and crall underneath it, or you can put the axle stands under the axle and not under the car (I believe you have that at the moment?). But again, first get that top bolt loose! |
