Jan Pedersen Wrote:Good job and nice figures! 150hp on a stock 4AGE, that would be nice. No, it wasn't stock. It was a standard bluetop block with the same head (exept the cams) I now have on the 7AGE. 4AGE largeport, port matched, Catcams, TODA valvesprings, ITB's, headers and Haltech. I just changed the Catcams (266/260°) on the 4AGE for some Kelfords (272°)on the 7AGE The 20V in the graph wasn't stock either. It also had some agressive cams, port work,... http://monkeymagic86.wordpress.com |

Since the dyno didn't deliver a torque reading, I had to do another graph myself. Since torque is relative to power and rpm:
It tops at ~177Nm @ 6600rpm and is above 150Nm from 3500rpm to redline http://monkeymagic86.wordpress.com |

Looks like you need more camber and less tire pressure....

Camber was at 5° (maximum on the Greddy top plates)
It's the outside of the tire that has no thread left. The other half of the tire had about 1mm thread left http://monkeymagic86.wordpress.com |

Anneau is a nice track
can you elaborate the issue with the gearbox - is it too weak in general or was yours already quite worn... Do you have any figures on final CR you achieved? As I'm stuck here in Africa I have troubles sourcing a spare engine as although shipping is not a problem customs and formalities are AE86 ex-daily |

It was a +200'000km gearbox, so I'm not worried about. Will get my T50 completely rebuilt incl all bearings, synchro's and stuff.
my final static CR is about 12:1. Dynamic compression is pretty good, thanks to the Kelford cams. Anneau du Rhin was a blast! http://monkeymagic86.wordpress.com |

Hey Bobby,
Sorry to hear about your 20V bottom end. Do you know what caused the problem? Is this with Toyota parts or something else? I am using Kelford 270 8.9mm cam lift cams with VVT. I was scared to activate it but Kelford told me it would probably be OK. When you tested for clearance with your cat cams, how did you activate the VVT with the engine not running? Thanks again, and get more incar videos up on here! |
