I Run a VEMS and a blacktop in my AE86´ and it´s running great,
The main part were WEMS is superior to the megasquirt is that the VEMS runs a wideband, and it´s integrated in the ecu(even running closedloop) ,meaning you dont have to buy a standalone wideband, or like some do run a nb sensor. which will not work Regards, Skassa Any fool can go fast in a straight line. megasquirt is...........well to be frank....shit.
the VEMS is assembled, has more capabilities and is much easier to install. i hate megasquirt........it is so low end and rubbish. |

os7213, the HKS 264 camshaft's manual states that these cams are for 8300 rpm.
To me it's piggy back for now... later I'll see what to do! Thanks a lot for your comments and tips. Best regards |

What twin 264deg and the peak powerband at 8300rpm...
Are you really sure of this?Cause my engine will run 272deg int\ext so my peak powerband by following these specs should be at what 9500rpm lol. If you talk about their max rpm its okay cause any cam can do that... But I don't think you will have power passed 7400rpm or near with 264deg. Ugo |

Os7213, HKS also states for 272 camshafts @ 8800rpm. 256 @ 8000 rpm.
The manual is in japanese, nevertheless I think these rpm are max power output rpm @ stock settings - 110º BTDC. Best regards |

i have Kamakazee KK101 264 cams with Pacesetter 4-1 headers in mine and runs strong at 7000-8000...
Imagine that my engine has 346000kms on it !!!! Still i am trying to make some proper settings with the Apexi SAFC-II... BUT i am waiting for my mechanic to find some free time to install a pair of 48mm DCOE Webers to solve that kind of problems  we 'll see ........ AE86 FANATIC!!! |
