4age gearbox upgrade

I saw a post in here once, about a Miata/MX5 gearbox. This sound very interesting.
I know someone use the BMW M3 (E30) gearbox, but theese things are hard to find and very expensive, and I also think the gear-ratio it a bit to high for the 4A-GE. But I have no experience with it. Project AE86 now begun. Cars I have owned: Toyota Starlet EP91 1,3 16v Turbo, 200hp Toyota Starlet EP71 1,3 12v Sport Mercedes 207D camper, 1977.
