I took my car to Julian at WMS in Watford.

I wanted the settings looking at on my AE86 and see what needs to be changed.

So Wayne, the alignment expert fitted all the laser equipment to the car and we got the settings.

Left Right
Camber -3.74 - 3.05
Caster 2.20 2.15
Toe 0.45 0.28

So after speak to Paz about suggested setups and then discussed different options with Julian.

Luckily my car has camber top mounts and adjstable tension rods.

So we settled on a compromise for me to learn with and then when I get better we can make the settings more extreme if I need

Left Right
Camber -3.00 -3.00
Caster 3.50 3.50
Toe 0.05 0.05

Happy with it so far, I wanted more castor but we got the end of normal adjustment, and any more forwards would foul the front bumper on turning.

Sunday will tell !

So i cant recommend enough the service at WMS. So if anyone wants there alignment sorting out, call them on 01923 210662. Ask for Julian Smith.

If you dont know who Julian is, he drives the E30 BMW with graphics all over at the D1 and practice days and is one of the best drifters in the country.

Did you sit in the car when you aligned it?

No i didnt, and i know that affects the camber settings.

However, I'm gonna test it as is, atthe drift day this sunday and then get it tweaked if need be.

I am running almost the same settings but with -3.5 deg of camber. Grip during cornering in the front is very very good

That's the setting i was driving these summer season until i hit the fence.

It was a great improvement from stock. Much more grip while drifting.
I have camber plates, but tie rods are stock. No need for aftermarket tie rods because these are adjustables OEM.

I'm runing bit more toe out for better turn in.
Did you realign you rear suspension with adjustable panhard rod, if you have one?
