fc3s front brake conversion, short report

Hi guys

After putting on the front fc3s conversion I had the possibility to test it in Hockenheim for a few laps.

Current brake mods:
fc3s calipers front
RS Hamada front conversion with slotted discs
Project Mu pads all around
rear discs slotted
Dot 5.1


I went out on a dry track, not too hot.
Braking is absolutely great with this set up. You can brake very late if you really want to and I still had a lot of meters left to brake. There was no fading at all.
I was keeping pace in corners with Porsche's, Evo, BMW whatever. MKostly was faster through the bendies and got overtaken on the straights.

Only thing which could be sorted is a brake balance valve. The bias is a little bit too much towards the front. But I might also have to get used to it.

First thoghts about this are great though.

I sell those conversion parts.
It contains the brackets, discs and mounting material.
You will also need fc3s calipers and pads.

Also available for the rear.

There are also conversions with the R32 GTS-T brake calipers.

Do you know what vehicle the RS Hamada disc are from or are they custom discs?

Can't say which vehicle they are from.

Mini Cooper discs will fit though and in the end you will just need some in 4x114, matching size and matching hub.

When I contacted RS Hamada they said they were 261mm dia but I can't find a vehicle with discs that size.
Mini Cooper discs are 276 dia, not sure how they can be interchangable...

Do you need 15s for either fc3s or r32 calipers? I only have 14s and don't really want to go bigger

You will need 15s if you use a large rotor like the Mini cooper S. If you use a smaller rotor like that from the EG6? Civic it will fit under 14s. I know of one guy in Australia who generally has the brackets/full kits, depending on what you want.

Ozone - if the bracket is set up for a 261mm disk, it won't work with a 276mm mini disk. Clearance inside the caliper will not be there. Be aware that the mini disks need machining to seat properly on the hub, very minor.
