LSD oil friction modifier

in Holland here, you can get castrol, kroon and valvoline oils on every corner of the street, and loads of cheap unknown brands, but its hard to find specialist oils. The other day I went to 3 or 4 automotive shops (the ones that supply to local garages, not the DIY ones) asking for limited slip oils and they all went "you need what?!?"...

Anyways, so far I've been using Valvoline GL5-LS oil for my stock diff but I can't judge on if its good or not... I'll go look for MOTUL because it does sound very interesting to see if it improves anything

Sounds like it's a pain to get the higher end oils then. I don't know how much it'll help on a stock diff, unless you've rebuilt and it has good clutches - then go for it.

FYI: MOTUL makes awesome fluids & lubricants, It's somewhat hard to get at any normal automotive or race shop.

I get mine through a kawasaki dealer, they are EXTREMELY well known in the performance/race bike world. I think your best bet would be to call/shop around motorcycle race shops and see if they can order it up for you from their MOTUL distributor.

well I got a bad stock unit right now but as you can see a couple of posts down, I rebuild a diff a week or two ago thats almost ready to go in. We'll see how well we've done it
